Organic Unrefined Hemp Seed Oil

Hemp Seed Oil is high in essential fatty acids, especially linoleic acid an omega 6 essential fatty acid, which is best known for its ability to ‘ heal, hydrate and plump’ the skin. Hemp Seed Oil also has anti-inflammatory properties helping to soothe itchy dry skin. It has a 0 comedogenic rating which means it will not clog pores and is good for oily skin types.

Organic Jojoba Oil

Looks and feels like oil on the skin but it is in fact a wax ester. Its chemical structure is almost identical to human sebum. Jojoba oil can help to hold moisture within skin keeping it hydrated and balanced. It contains anti- bacterial & anti- inflammatory properties.

Water Melon Seed Oil

Watermelon seed oil originated in South Africa, it was cultivated in Egypt and is said the seeds were placed in tombs to feed their bodies in the afterlife. In skincare watermelon seed is a light nutrient rich oil that absorbes easily. It is high in linoleic acid which is perfect if you have oily acneic skin, as linoleic acid can help detoxify and balance  skin oils. With a low comedogenic rating watermelon seed oil will nourish your skin without clogging pores, it helps clarify pores by removing excess sebum and remove dirt. Also wonderful for dry skin as it has antioxidants and natural vitamins that will help to replenish moisture, revitalise and protect.

Organic Red Raspberry Seed Oil

Calming and soothing properties and helps with irritation and sensitive skin. Red raspberry seed oil has high levels of Vitamin e, a natural antioxidant and skin protector. it is lightweight but rich in fatty acids as well as being non comedogenic which is highly beneficial as cleanser as it will disovle pollution, dirt and makeup from the skin withoug clogging pores.

Castor oil is highly viscous, so can easily penetrate the skin. It has been used in moisturising for thousands of years, and dates back to Ancient Egypt. It contains a compound called ricinoleic acid which has antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties, so very useful in treating acne, ricinoleic acid can inhibit growth in the bacteria that cause acne. It is also a strong detoxifier so great as a cleansing aid for the skin!

White Willow Bark

White willow bark is traditionally used to soothe irritated skin, it has anti-inflammatory properties and contains the active ingredient salicin, which is a similar activity to salicylic acid. It helps to gently clear congestion and exfoliate the skin, smoothing dryness, fine line and wrinkles.

Papaya Extract  

Carica papaya

Papaya extract contains a high concentration of the enzyme papain, which helps restore the even-toned look of your skin. Papain helps to break down the proteins (glue like substance) that bind dead cells together, helping to clear away dry skin and promote cell renewal keeping skin clear and clean.

This oil is harvested from the peel of the orange, it is known in aromatherapy as an oil of high vibration helping to lift the mood and bring a joy and cheerfulness. In skincare It has anti-inflammatory properties and helps to soothe dry or irritated skin. It is also helps increase circulation, promoting skin rejuvenation, and combating blemishes.

This oil is harvested from lavender flowers, and is widely prized for its scent. It is renowned for being relaxing, calming, soothing and balancing. It also has anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, antibacterial and antispasmodic properties.

Neroli Oil

This oil is harvested from the neroli flower blossoms and is cicatrisant- assisting in healthy cell turnover and rejuvenation. It helps to soothe redness and irritation, so is ideal for dry, sensitive skin with broken capillaries.

"One of the most luxurious cleansing oils I’ve had so far, the Amisi Skincare Five Seed cleansing oil feels so smooth, soothing and nourishing.

 

I’m not acne prone but I have oily combination skin and I find this cleansing oil to be gentle and soothing. It makes the whole cleansing process therapeutic and pleasurable and gives a “spa in your own home” feeling. It leaves my face soft and clean with no dryness, although it’s not to be used as an eye make up remover. I’ve used this consistently for almost 8 weeks and with this, everyday has been a spa day!

Apply 2- 3 pumps of oil to facial skin & décolletage and gently massage in upward strokes for 1- 2 minutes, avoiding direct contact with eyes. Allow oils to absorb into skin for a further minute or so to give them chance to work their magic. Next take a dry cloth and gently wipe away oils, then take the same cloth, rinse in hot (not scalding) water. Use cloth like a compress and hold onto skin, the warmth helps to draw out impurities and remove excess oils, makeup and grime. Repeat until oil has been removed. Pat skin dry. Skin should feel clean and moist.

• Oil Cleansing

  Oil cleansing is a gentle way to clean your skin without stripping the natural oils away. The theory is “like attracts like”. Five Seed Cleansing oils have a low or zero comedogenic rating, meaing they will not clog your pores. Apply one or two pumps to skin, using gentle upward stokes massage over face neck and décolletage; concentrate on congested areas around the chin and nose. Allow time to absorb for one or two minutes, giving this special blend of oils time to do it's job of drawing dirt, excess oil and sebum, from your pores. Wipe the oils away with a dry cloth, and then soak the same cloth in hot water and hold onto skin like a compress, then wipe away. The warmth and steam will help to further draw dirt away from the skin surface and cleanse, leaving your skin soft, supple, healthy and clean.

• It has been noted that people who suffer with acne have lower levels of linoleic acid (an essential fatty acid) and higher levels of sebum. Five Seeds Cleansing oil has high levels of linoleic acid so will be suitable to use on acneic skin types.
