Organic Shea Butter

Shea butter is made from the seeds of the fruit of the Shea (karite) tree. Travelers to Africa recorded the use of Shea Butter in the 1300's, but was used by the Queen of Sheba and Cleopatra of Egypt in their eras long before. Rich in Vitamins A, F and K, it provides the skin with essential fatty acids for collagen production. Shea Butter contains linolenic, palmitic, stearic, cinnamic and oleic acids that protect and moisturise the skin, and have anti-inflammatory effects. I purchase organic unrefined, Fair Trade Organic Shea Nut Butter hand-made by women and families from Kperisi village in Northern Ghana using age-hold traditional methods. No chemicals, no harsh industrial processes, just the same traditional methods as they have used for millennia.

Mango butter is made from the kernel of the fruit. It has very high quantities of fatty acids (for intensive moisturisation), antioxidants, Vitamins A, C and E. It is purported to have benefits for wound healing, skin cell regeneration and skin softening.

Symbol of purity and beauty, it is also one of the most important natural raw materials of traditional Polynesian pharmacopoeia. It is found in many preparations soothing, softening and repairing. The fresh flowers used to make Monoi de Tahiti come exclusively from the islands of Tahiti and Moorea.

Passionfruit Seed Oil is a valuable source of both potassium and vitamin C. As an anti-inflammatory and antibacterial agent, passionfruit seed oil can help to combat acne and is reported to reduce sebum secretion. Carrot Root Oil is rich in antioxidants and has notable anti-ageing properties. It can assist with reducing the appearance of dark, age spots and will help to minimise fine lines and wrinkles. It is thought to improve skin elasticity and give the complexion a more youthful glow.
Red Raspberry Seed Oil

Red Raspberry Seed Oil is extracted from the seeds of the raspberry fruit through cold pressing and filtration to ensure the natural composition and components of the oils are maintained.The oil possesses high levels of alpha and gamma tocopherols, vitamin A and omega-6 fatty acids.The oil is also rich in alpha linolenic acid suggesting anti-inflammatory properties.

D-alpha-Tocopherol is used as an antioxidant and helps to preserve the oils. It also has anti-ageing properties in that it helps to prevent oxidation of cells due to free radicals.
